I’m big on YouTube as a learning resource, equally big on free lectures and discussions that will (hopefully) improve my photography, follow G+ Communities such as the “Art of Photography”, and spend time on Google Images looking at the work of accomplished/famous photographers to learn from them….. it’s what I’m doing today – YouTube learning about composition from Scott Kelby.

Next week I’m attending a discussion titled “Photography and/as Art: Reflections on an Uneasy Relationship”, the description reads

Photography has had an uneasy relationship with art since its introduction in the early nineteenth century. This presentation will consider the field of photography, the idea of art, and the different ways that each informs and disturbs the other.

What do you use as as learning resources?

  1. Thanks for the reminder that I have been spending too little time taking advantage of the wonderful learning opportunities on the internet. Scott Kelby is always invigorating and instructive.

There are so many free learning resources out there that it’s hard to know where to begin sometimes, I have also joined a few Google+ discussion communities that have proven very valuable.
