Gone Ice Fishing

Yesterday was a research day, and today was an ice fishing day with my youngest son and I out on our first expedition on the Ottawa River; at only -2°C (28°F for my American friends) it was just too warm and sunny a day to stay inside.
I will get back to real photography soon … really … I promise

Wow… Do you have a pre made hut to put over that?
Nope sethsnap, we’re apparently a dying breed of old school fishermen. We drag our stuff out on the ice by hand, drill a hole in the ice, sit down on a ‘wee stool with our jiggers (we both have our own hand whittled/filed jiggers), drop a line into the water, and hope for the best
Sounds very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
